Conditional Probability

P(AB)P(A|B) means, probability of AA given BB.

P(AB)=P(AB)P(B)P(A|B) = \frac{P(A \cap B)}{P(B)}

In ML contexts, models usually calculated P(YX)P(Y|X) where XX is input features and YY is the model prediction.

For example in a spam detector model predicts P(spamemail)P(\text{spam} | \text{email}) in other words, "probability of email being a spam email, given there's an email"
